From William Cole: At 625 PM CDT, MesoScan Radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over New Fairview, or 10 miles northeast of Briar, moving southeast at 5 mph. Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include Fort Worth, Denton, Flower Mound, Saginaw, Azle, Decatur, Eagle Mountain, Briar, Roanoke, Pecan Acres, Argyle, Justin, Reno, Springtown, Northlake, Pelican Bay, Haslet, New Fairview, Aurora and Boyd. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
