From William Cole: At 1101 PM CST, MesoScan Radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Hubbard, or 19 miles west of Mexia, moving east at 45 mph. Wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include Mexia, Teague, Fairfield, Hubbard, Wortham, Coolidge, Dawson, Fairfield Lake State Park, Mount Calm, Tehuacana, Richland, Streetman, Penelope and Kirvin. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
