8 am – Severe Risk Today

There is a risk of strong to severe storms this afternoon across North Texas and the Metroplex. Storms will form by early afternoon along a cold front and push east through the afternoon into the evening. Hail is going to be the primary concern – quarter to half dollar sized – through the early afternoon. Straight line winds and brief tornadoes will be possible as a broken line of storms pushes into Eastern Texas.
