From William Cole: At 207 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Athens, moving west at 5 to 10 mph. Wind gusts between 40 to 50 mph will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include… Athens, Gun Barrel City, Malakoff, Eustace, Caney City, Payne Springs, Log Cabin and Star Harbor. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Torrential rainfall is also likely occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized street flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
