TROPICAL DEPRESSION IDA IS MOVING ACROSS THE TENNESSEE VALLEY… …CONSIDERABLE HEAVY RAIN AND FLOOD THREAT WILL CONTINUE TO SPREAD FROM THE TENNESSEE AND OHIO VALLEYS INTO THE CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN APPALACHIANS AND MID ATLANTIC THROUGH WEDNESDAY
At 1000 AM CDT (1500 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Ida was located near latitude 35.0 North, longitude 87.8 West. The depression is moving toward the northeast near 15 mph (24 km/h) and this motion is expected to gradually accelerate over the next couple of days.
