From William Cole: At 536 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ranger, moving north at 10 mph. HAZARD…Winds in excess of 30 mph and penny size hail. SOURCE…Radar indicated. IMPACT…Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include… Breckenridge, Eastland, Cisco, Ranger, Gorman, Rising Star, Possum Kingdom State Park, Necessity, Gunsight, Crystal Falls, Strawn and Carbon. This includes Interstate 20 between mile markers 324 and 363. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. &&
