CLAUDETTE EXPECTED TO REGAIN TROPICAL STORM STRENGTH THIS MORNING
At 200 AM EDT (0600 UTC), the center of Tropical Depression Claudette was located near latitude 35.1 North, longitude 79.1 West. The depression is moving toward the east-northeast near 20 mph (31 km/h). An east-northeastward to northeastward motion with some increase in forward speed is expected over the next couple of days. On the forecast track, the system should move over the coast of North Carolina this morning, cross into the western Atlantic Ocean later today, and pass near or just south of Nova Scotia on Tuesday.
