William Cole
Owner, Chief Meteorologist

Texas Weather Tracker TV was founded by William Cole who is the Owner and Chief Meteorologist.  William, who is a 5th generation Oklahoman was born in Norman, Oklahoma.  William's interest and passion for weather was discovered at an early age and he remembers growing up watching Oklahoma weather legend Gary England.  During high school William was a student volunteer at the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Norman.  William went on to serve in the United States Navy and also earned his Bachelor of Science degree.  In 2009, William started an initial website called OklahomaWeatherTracker.com. OklahomaWeatherTracker.com provided Oklahomans with the most Live Oklahoma weather content available on the internet.  (OklahomaWeatherTracker.com went on to become OklahomaWeatherTracker.TV with an emphasis on our Live video content.)  William also has a strong presence on social media and created, at the time, the first live automated weather feed in the nation for Twitter and Facebook that posts real time watches and warnings. As OklahomaWeatherTracker.com continued to grow and succeed it became clear to William that it was time to make his content more readily available in the form of a smart phone app. William wasn't interested in offering a generic app from a weather company that was just repackaged with his name on it. He wanted to develop his own app that would continue to provide Oklahomans with the Live content they had come to expect from him. The Oklahoma Weather Tracker mobile app became Oklahoma's Leading Weather App and  was available on Apple, Android, Windows and Amazon Kindle. In the spring of 2015, William was ready to start his next project in the form of a Live Video channel. He named the channel Oklahoma Weather Tracker TV and it launched in May of 2015. Since its initial launch, Oklahoma Weather Tracker TV become a go to for Oklahomans to get Live Oklahoma weather forecasts and Live Oklahoma severe weather coverage.  In 2018 Oklahoma Weather Tracker TV was the Norman Award winner in the Television Channel category.

During the Summer of 2019 William decided that after four years of success with Oklahoma Weather Tracker TV it was time to take the company’s brand of weather coverage, mobile app, and streaming system to a much larger market.   Being familiar with the area and people of Texas made moving to the DFW metroplex (to include North Texas) was an easy choice.

On June 1st 2019 Oklahoma Weather Tracker TV became Texas Weather Tracker TV and relocated its studios to the West Love Field area of Dallas, Texas.  The DFW Metroplex is a top 5 TV market and top 4 consumer market.  The Texas Weather Tracker TV coverage area has approximately 8 million households.

Texas Weather Tracker TV is available worldwide on the Texas Weather Tracker mobile app and TexasWeatherTracker.TV in addition to  Roku TV, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and YouTube.

You can watch William weekdays on our flagship weathercast Texas Weather Live at 9am, Noon, 4pm and 7pm.
