A widespread freeze is likely Monday night with temperatures dropping into the 20s.
You’ll want to grab the big winter coat this morning – it’s a cold start to your Monday. Temperatures are near or below freezing but wind chill factors have dipped into the 20’s.
After a fairly mild Fall – it’s a taste of reality tonight with the first freeze of the season likely for the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex. This is will be light freeze but still remember the three P’s. Plants, pets and pipes. Bring in any tender vegetation if possible.

WHAT Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 25 possible. WHERE Along and southeast of a Killeen to Waco to Corsicana to Athens line. WHEN From Monday evening through Tuesday morning. IMPACTS Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.
