From William Cole: A Flood Advisory has been issued for Collin & Dallas Counties in the Metroplex until 6:45 PM. Ponding on the roadways and localized street flooding is possible.

At 343 PM CST, MesoScan Radar indicated an area of moderate to heavy rain moving into the eastern parts of the Metroplex. This will cause urban and small stream flooding as well as ponding on area roadways.

Remember if you see water across a roadway do not drive through it. Turn Around Don’t Drown.

From William Cole: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued in the Texas Weather Tracker TV coverage area for Navarro County in North TX until 6:00 PM.

At 318 PM CST, MesoScan Radar indicated T-Storms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Emergency Management reports that roadways are becoming impassable and flood water is beginning to approach homes and buildings in parts of Navarro County.

Remember if you see water across a roadway do not drive through it. Turn Around Don’t Drown.

WHAT Freezing rain with ice accumulations up to a quarter inch, some sleet, and snow accumulations 2 to 4 inches. Blowing snow may reduce visibility in western, northern Oklahoma, and western north Texas. WHERE Portions of central and southwest Oklahoma and northern Texas. WHEN From 6 PM this evening to noon CST Friday. IMPACTS Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact New Years Eve travelers.
