WHERE Portions of central, southern and southwest Oklahoma and northern Texas. WHEN From noon Thursday to noon CST Friday. IMPACTS Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Here’s a look at Live Temperatures across North Texas, MesoScan Radar and the Updated Forecast Map.

DFW thru 5 pm this afternoon… Cloudy with showers and T-Storms likely. Highs in the lower 60s. Temperatures falling into the lower 40s late. North winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent. -William

A line of heavy but currently non-severe T-Storms are lift Northeast into our Southeastern Counites. Heavy rain, vivid lightning and winds to 40 mph are possible with the line.

The strong cold front moving through North Texas will provide a risk of severe weather today in Central Texas. A few severe storms are possible with 60 mph winds and quarter sized hail.

As anticipated the snowfall forecast has changed and wobbled around the last few days. However, it looks likely now that our Western Counties will see some accumulating snow. There will be some backyards that pick up 2″ – 4″ amounts. The snow chances increase Thursday night into Friday morning.

The threat of flooding and flash flooding is increasing across North Texas over the next 48 hours. Several rounds of rain and heavy rain are likely. By the time it’s all said and done 2″ to locally 5″ amounts are possible. A Flash Flood Watch has been posted for our Western Counties.

A sharp cold front is currently pushing through the Metroplex with dropping temperatures, gusty North winds and chilly rain showers. We’ve hit our daytimes high’s and temperatures will flatline in the 40’s this afternoon.

There is a chance for T-Storms across the entire region Today. A couple strong or severe storms are be possible over Central and East Texas thru 5 pm this afternoon…, with damaging wind gusts being the primary threat. The potential for flooding will increase Tonight mainly across East Texas where a Flash Flood Watch is in effect.
