Here’s a look at Live Temperatures across North Texas, MesoScan Radar and the Updated Forecast Map.
DFW thru 5 pm this afternoon… Mostly cloudy with a 20 percent chance of rain. Cooler with highs around 60. East winds around 10 mph. -William
Scattered showers are become likely tomorrow in the Metroplex with rain and even T-Storms on Wednesday. Still watching Wednesday night and Thursday for the possibility of rain to mix with or change over to snow.
As a strong Jet Stream storm system moves directly across North Texas – rain chances will quickly be increasing Tuesday but especially into Wednesday. Locally heavy rain is possible. Wednesday night into Thursday is the more interesting part of this forecast. Right now, the latest weather data has this storm system on the exact perfect track to see snow on the back side of the system late Wednesday and into Thursday. Snow chances appear to be best in our Western Counties with more of a rain snow mix possible in the Metroplex. This system has to be watched carefully – if this data continues to hold there may be an opportunity for even a few bands of heavy snow.
Will North Texas see a wintry mix Wednesday night into Thursday? – Maybe. Right now, the data is all over the place but the weather pieces are beginning to come together for rain transitioning to snow Wednesday night and into part of the day Thursday. This is a broad brush map and what that means is if you’re in the pink area stay tuned to the forecast over the next 24 hours. If things come together just right that would be the area favored to see a transition over to snow. More updates tomorrow…
