Scattered showers are ongoing this morning across North Texas. A rumble of thunder is not impossible. These showers will linger through mid morning then expect rapidly clearing skies and windy conditions this afternoon.

WHAT Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 40 mph expected. WHERE Portions of north central Texas. WHEN From 9 AM to 6 PM CST Saturday. IMPACTS Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around in the wind. Driving on area roadways may become difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. ADDITIONAL DETAILS Strong winds will lead to an elevated fire weather threat Saturday afternoon, particularly west of I-35.
