From William Cole: At 234 AM CST, MesoScan Radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7 miles southwest of Springtown, or 8 miles north of Weatherford, moving northeast at 60 mph. Nickel size hail will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include Denton, Flower Mound, Keller, Southlake, Weatherford, Azle, Trophy Club, Eagle Mountain, Briar, Roanoke, Pecan Acres, Argyle, Justin, Reno, Springtown, Northlake, Pelican Bay, Haslet, Bartonville and New Fairview. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to flooding especially across low lying and poor drainage areas. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Locations impacted include Mineral Wells, Breckenridge, Graford, Necessity and Possum Kingdom State Park. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

From William Cole: A Flood Advisory has been issued for Denton & Tarrant Counties in the Metroplex until 3:00 AM. Ponding on the roadways and localized street flooding is possible.

At 1157 PM CST, MesoScan Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to T-Storms which will cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Storms are producing as much as 1.5 inches of rain in an hour or less.

Remember if you see water across a roadway do not drive through it. Turn Around Don’t Drown.

Pea size hail and winds in excess of 30 mph will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include Clarksville, Boxelder, De Kalb, Bogata, Bagwell, Detroit, Avery, Annona, Haworth, Moon, Cerrogordo, Beaverdams, Lydia, Goodlake, Goodwater, Shinewell, America, Johntown, Bokhoma and Almont.
