Storms will develop today in Oklahoma near a cold front and out in The Big Country near a dryline. All of the activity will approach North Texas this evening and into the overnight. The big question is – will the activity hold together and if it does – how strong will it be? Right now, there is a risk of severe weather for North Texas primarily for hail and wind however, this time of year you’re always watching at least some tornado potential. We’ll have more on this throughout the day here on the mobile app and also on Texas Weather Tracker TV.

It’s going to be another very warm and humid afternoon in the Metroplex. The heat index will be in the 90’s.

Following some dry time during the day, a complex of storms is expected to move into North Texas later tonight. These storms could pose a threat for damaging wind gusts and flooding due to heavy rainfall.
