At 230 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Necessity to near Gorman, moving east at 25 mph.

Hometowns Impacted: Stephenville, Eastland, Ranger, De Leon, Gorman, Gordon, Huckabay, Morgan Mill, Strawn And Mingus.

Primary Threats: 65 Mph Wind Gusts.

From William Cole: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued in the Texas Weather Tracker TV coverage area for Stephens County in North TX until 4:30 PM.

At 123 PM CDT, emergency management reported flooding due to thunderstorms producing heavy rain along Highway 180 near Breckenridge leading to some road closures in the area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain has fallen over the last hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Remember if you see water across a roadway do not drive through it. Turn Around Don’t Drown.

From William Cole: A Flash Flood Watch has been issued for the following counties in North Texas until 7:00 AM Tuesday. Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Grayson, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Montague, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Wise & Young.

Flash Flood Watch for a portion of north central Texas, including the following areas, Collin, Comanche, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Eastland, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Grayson, Hood, Jack, Johnson, Montague, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Stephens, Tarrant, Wise, and Young. From 7 AM CDT this morning through Tuesday morning Numerous showers and thunderstorms will produce periods of heavy rainfall today and tonight which may result in flash flooding. Rainfall amounts will average between 1.5 and 3 inches with some locally higher amounts. Flooding may occur in urban and poor drainage areas. Heavy rainfall may also cause flooding of creeks, streams and rivers.
