Isolated thunderstorms may develop generally north of I-20 today. Lightning, gusty winds, and brief heavy rain will be the main threats with any storms.
It’s a little later than normal but it was bound to happen… DFW officially recorded 100 for a daytime high today. This is the first 100 of the summer.

WHAT…Heat index values up to 106. WHERE…Portions of north central and northeast Texas. WHEN…Until 7 PM CDT this evening, then from noon to 7 PM CDT Monday. IMPACTS…Hot temperatures and high humidity will increase the risk for heat-related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.
