Scattered to numerous thunderstorms will continue to be possible throughout today across North and Central Texas. The severe weather threat will be low, but strong winds and small hail cannot be ruled out from the stronger storms. Heavy rain may lead to isolated instances of flooding if any one storm or complex of storms impacts a concentrated area.
From William Cole: At 1221 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking an outflow boundary along a line extending from near Lake Arrowhead to near Olney to near Throckmorton. Movement was southeast at 25 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with these storms. Locations impacted include… Graham, Jacksboro, Olney, Bryson, Newport and Newcastle. Scattered thunderstorms are expected to move into North Texas tonight with the arrival of a weak cold front. Severe weather is not expected, but gusty outflow winds, frequent lightning, and locally heavy rainfall are possible. Activity will push southward into parts of Central Texas prior to daybreak Monday.
From William Cole: At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Morgan Mill, or 15 miles north of Stephenville. This storm was nearly stationary. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 mph will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include… Morgan Mill. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS… Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. &&
