Rainfall Totals Since Midnight
Rainfall from overnight and this morning continues to be generous across North Texas – especially in and around the Metroplex. We picked up another .25″ to over . 50″ of rain. Just to the South in Ellis County around the Waxahachie area – over 2 inches.

ALERT 10:20 AM | Flood Advisory Dallas County until 1:30 PM
From William Cole: A Flood Advisory has been issued for Dallas County in the Metroplex until 1:30 PM. Ponding on the roadways and localized street flooding is possible.
At 1020 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Areas that are low lying or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen across the northern part of Ellis County.
Remember if you see water across a roadway do not drive through it. Turn Around Don’t Drown.

Thunderstorm chances will continue through tonight, with the highest coverage of rainfall occurring south of Interstate 20 today, then across western North and Central Texas tonight. A few strong storms with small hail are possible south of Highway 84. Isolated instances of flash flooding will also be possible.
