From William Cole: At 557 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Fruitvale, or 9 miles north of Canton, moving northeast at 45 mph. Nickel size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm. Locations impacted include… Grand Saline, Edgewood, Emory and Fruitvale.

DFW TODAY…Cloudy. Showers and thunderstorms likely this morning, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms this afternoon. Highs in the mid 70s. North winds 5 to 10 mph, increasing to 10 to 15 mph this afternoon. Chance of rain 70 percent. -William
William’s North Texas Hazardous Weather Forecast for Thursday:
Widespread showers and thunderstorms will continue through much of the morning across North and Central Texas. A few thunderstorms may be severe with tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds possible. Additionally, heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding in some areas. Thunderstorm chances will decrease during the afternoon, but may continue across parts of Central Texas through the evening.
From William Cole: A Flood Advisory has been issued for Dallas County in the Metroplex until 5:00 AM. Ponding on the roadways and localized street flooding is possible.
At 309 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Low lying and/or poor drainage areas will experience minor flooding across Southeastern Dallas County. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen with additional heavy rain moving into the area.

From William Cole: A Flash Flood Warning has been issued in the Texas Weather Tracker TV coverage area for Ellis & Johnson Counties in North TX until 5:00 AM.
At 244 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain between Venus and Maypearl. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen with additional heavy rain expected to continue for about the next hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
