KATE REMAINS A POORLY ORGANIZED TROPICAL STORM OVER THE CENTRAL ATLANTIC.
At 1100 PM AST (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kate was located near latitude 22.7 North, longitude 50.9 West. Kate is moving toward the north near 6 mph (9 km/h), and this motion is expected into Tuesday. A northwestward motion is forecast late Tuesday and Wednesday.
